From: Jane Myers This is just a note to update any who might be interested. A sort of reverse obituary😜 I am alive and well in a little 8 sided house on top of a small mountain (Bald Knob, NC). I am married to Dave Maupin since 1960. We are living out our lives in quiet appreciation of our solitude and observations of our surroundings. .. birds, deer, chipmunks ,butterflies and so on. Our dog Sarah dragged up an opossum that I took for dead. Hours later I put it in a plastic bag to put out in the woods away from our house. Lo and behold it was only pretending as on return it was gone!
I have attended several reunions and increasingly sad to see that many have died. Nevertheless, I always read the obituaries with interest even though I may not have known the deceased. That’s what old people do. They read obituaries.
I am going to forward this to Dee and ask her to send out. I am on Face Book and I have email. ( janemaupin@yahoo.com) As technology advances, I get more behind. The commercial site notifies me that some body has left me a message, but I have neither the inclination nor skill to access that site. So if any want to send me an email I will look forward to hearing from you. Put something in the subject line so I do not delete it. People our age have to be careful.
I have two Face Book sites. One, anyone can access and the other for close friends. I do not often accept “friends requests” unless I recognize the name. I am an enthusiastic, dogged, Democratic, and most of my post on the world page have my ranting and ravings, humor, and philosophy.

From: Alton Frix Tee Jay Class of 1957, I am following the example of Jane Myers Maupin to give you an update. The extent to which I am remembered is probably mostly due to the facts that I was the only serious bodybuilder and the second best 440 runner in our class. The only picture of me in the yearbook is on page 186 with the track team.
I am a retired computer programmer in New York City where I have been since 1961. I am living with my second wife. (the first one died in 2007) and two cats. I have two sons: One is a dog trainer in Las Vegas; the other is a fellow New York programmer.
I do a tiny amount of strength training and a lot of walking with my wife in Central Park and Riverside Park. The really odd thing about me is that I seldom use my smart phone. (I love my desktop.)
The most interesting things I have done include participating in the 1963 Civil Rights March on Washington, performing at a stand-up comedy workshop in 2013 at the age of 73 Click Here, and remarrying at the age of 76.
