Back to Richmond for 4 years where daughter Karen was born and then to VT for grad school. Dee invited me to speak to one of her math classes in Radford. (Note from Dee: I was teaching 2 classes of Trigonometry at Radford High. Ken graciously came to present how trig is used in surveying to those classes for the 2 years I taught there. He was a big hit.) I started an engineering and surveying firm there and was CEO until I sold to the employees via an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2005. Employees sold to another firm in 2016 and we moved to CrossRidge in Glen Allen. I started a retirement job as Anderson Construction Mediation LLC but haven’t been over run with work which is just as well since I spend time on my farm and with our 6 grandsons and 6 granddaughters. I’m enjoying not having to set a good example as I had to do as CEO. If you would enjoy some good exercise on a farm let me know. |

From Debbie Wilson McPhee: Thank you, Dee, for being our conduit and for keeping in touch with our 1957 classmates! It is more than enjoyable to read (with Yearbook at hand) their comments you’ve compiled and to recollect our T.J. years with friends and acquaintances!. Happy to have news of and from them! Like Polly and Robert Marshall, my husband (59 years June 11th) and I decided to retire in Richmond (Goochland/Glen Allen). After marrying, we lived 30 + years in Toronto, Canada (Ron is Canadian/American - Toronto) where our three girls were also born, schooled, and married. After a very active and fulfilling corporate life (via husband), we thought Virginia would be a wonderful place in which to spend our senior years. We were right about that and have been here since 1991. Happily and thankfully, our girls (+ spouses - (coerced tho they were!) + grandchildren) eventually followed us South! A great blessing as we, also, are actively intra - involved. Needless to say, we frequently re-visit our Canadian roots! Our seven grandchildren range in age from 30-10 years - four boys, three girls. One in high school, one in elementary, the |
