And how did it happen that we got this old--one foot in front of the other and a lotta good luck I guess. We've been truly blessed with great experiences: jobs, travel, health, family, friends, pastimes and giggles. |

From Bill Tucker: Well since John Loving responded I might as well. John and I went to grade school together ( Patrick Henry ) and on to TJ. I had to take an extra year to receive my high school diploma from Staunton Military Academy and from there on to Randolph-Macon College then to UVa School of Law. I was a defense trial attorney for 39 years specializing in products liability matters, first for a local New Jersey law firm and then for an international New York law firm. I have been married, divorced and happily remarried. I have a daughter living in Brooklyn N.Y. and lost a son in 2009. I have retired to Charleston S.C. and I love it. My wife, Martha, has 2 children, a son and a daughter and paternal twin grandchildren and to brag a little her grand-daughter has been accepted at West Point. I have reached 80 years of age and for those of you who haven't the good news is that it is no worse than being 79 and the bad news is that it's no better. Our best to all! Then, since several of you have asked, I’m attaching PDF files of the class contact information, the deceased list and the lost list (in case any of you have information to give on those for whom we have no information). Information in red is most recent changes. |

But the Bluegrass horse farms near us are glorious with the opening of the racing season and the Blue Nation of the University of Kentucky basketball is surviving even though not in the final four of NCAA. We will root for UVA now. Following graduation from Mary Baldwin where I roomed with our TJ class president, Nancy Simpson, I never left academic life it seems. (Sadly, Nancy died several years ago and I still miss her dearly.) Randy (Davidson College) and I were married in 1960 and he accumulated academic degrees from Union Seminary, Harvard, and a Ph.D in medieval history from UVA while I added teaching years to my resume. Daughter Ellen was born in Charlottesville, and son Stuart was born here in Lexington…They both went to Vanderbilt and to Michigan for graduate at work; Ellen is |
